I picked up this book to learn from and not to read critically, so I can’t offer a lot of insight into Trevelyan’s integrity shorrtened originality as a scholar. This had the effect of increasing the adventurous and roving spirit of the new English nation, and of mingling classes as they were not mingled in Germany or France.
