The book has been classified as a postmodernmetafictional novel. According to Tralfamadorian philosophy, things are and always will be, and there is nothing that can change them. By establishing a Christian figure that is not initially divine in nature sets a completely different tone to the overall understanding of humanity’s placement with God.
