Additionally, the ‘plot’ is all wrapped up via the longest Bwahaha-I’ve-won!

This was a good YA fantasy romance, but I liked the other storylines more than the romance. She has been assigned to protect Prince Richard. Wrapping up the ending with all your ducks in a row?

She is no longer able to thah her job. This book had no shortage of thrills as Emrys and Richard fought off the al, fey determined to destroy humanity for daring to upset the balance of nature. This book was basically fan-fiction about what would happen if Prince Harry of England decided to ditch Meghan Markle and date a fellow ginger.

Lots of snark and awful metaphors and whatnot. But there was nothing about Emrys and Richard’s relationship that was remotely interesting or engaging. It’s a lighter blustery read that won’t have the cogs in your brain whirring because there isn’t much to it past the romance.

All That Glows (All That Glows, #1) by Ryan Graudin

Throughout the story, I vacillated between liking her and rolling my eyes at her. The smell of food and drink, the smell of anything at this point is enough to wake the deeper sickness in my bowels. Especially the effect on faeries – that was a nice touch. Jan 24, Seeing Double in Neverland rated it really liked it.

He actually struck me as a very boring sweetheart most of the time, which was just weird, considering how Emrys and everyone acted like he was this notorious bad boy the blurb’s words, not mine.

The story starts with Emrys magical world.

A bit annoying but I held on and continued reading. Emyrs is supposed to be this fairy who has been alive since before King Author’s time, so it makes sense that the narrator’s voice sounds old and kind of stilted, but it really didn’t work for me.

He’s just supposed to be different. I broke the barrier between magic and mortal. View all 3 comments.

Especially for a guy who’s kind of bland and uninteresting. Jul 12, Beth rated it really liked it Shelves: It was set in glow present but not bogged down by contemporary details, which allowed that magical feel of the book to remain at the focus. Refresh and try again. Action scenes are good but I feel like it’s just there for the sake of having it.

The Relationship I was really hoping that the love story in this book would make up for something What I Did Not Like: BUT in all honesty, I think it was still lacking something.

It was so utterly sweet and lovely and perfect. Jul 11, Farrah rated it it was amazing Shelves: She seems to have a good head on her shoulders.

Her powers are failing. The Characters I found Emrys to be extremely boring.
